Assisted Living is personal care individualized to each resident’s specific needs. Some residents may only need gentle medication reminders or a little assistance with dressing and bathing. Others need more help because of mobility challenges. Whatever individual resident needs may be, our caring, compassionate, attentive team of nurses and trained caregivers stand ready to assist 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Rest assured, our attention is always focused on providing quality care and an enriching lifestyle designed to maintain a resident’s optimal independence.
For residents with early-stage Alzheimer’s disease and other memory challenges, we offer a comprehensive memory program. Our program enhances the lifestyle of those with early memory loss by giving them an opportunity to live an active and fulfilling life while enjoying continuity through Canterfield’s neighborhood concept with the same staff members day in and day out. Our goal is to focus on the dignity, safety, and quality of life of each of our residents.

Just the right amount of support is offered and adjusted whenever necessary. Given proper nutrition, programming and surroundings, we believe residents naturally function at a higher level at Canterfield as individualized "memory activities" are developed to stimulate, recall, and deter additional memory loss issues.
The Canterfield Personal Care building is approximately 70,000 square feet. There are 91 units total, 20 of which are Memory Care units.

The size of each apartment home varies, although all have been designed for comfort, elegance, and accessibility. We offer units with one bedroom as well as studio apartments.

In each standard apartment home you will find fully equipped kitchenettes with a refrigerator and microwave. Further, a washer and dryer is available in the building for personal use. Apartment homes will have individualized heating and air conditioning systems and include closet space. At Canterfield, separate neighborhood settings are established for residents who may need a higher level of care. The result is a more friendly atmosphere where residents are familiar with each other and their caregivers.
